Daddy,

You have been in heaven for twenty years and I never properly thanked you for the gift, which is my wonderful step dad, whom I proudly call Dad. I believe you sent him to us and as you know, my mother is well taken care of and is very happy. My step dad has been in my life since I was twelve and always treated me like his own and supported me in my growth process, and is still supporting me through nursing school. I feel luckier than some people do because I had the opportunity to have two loving fathers. I believe everything happens for a reason but I do want to thank you for bringing him into my mother’s and my life. Please continue to watch over us and take care of my sweet Dallas who touched my heart tremendously.
